Sean Nesler is a filmmaker, videographer, and editor with a passion for visual storytelling.
Sean's filmmaking endeavors began with a hand-me-down Hi8 camcorder, an old black-and-white CCTV monitor, and a handful of modeling clay. Initially inspired by the special effects of Ray Harryhausen, Sean began experimenting with stop-motion animation, simple visual effects, and fundamental filmmaking techniques while still in elementary school.
After studying special makeup effects with the Studio Makeup Academy at Sunset Gower Studios, Sean returned to college to pursue a degree in television and film production with an emphasis on documentary filmmaking. At Pasadena City College, he became co-president of Students in Media and Broadcasting, earning two Associates of Arts degrees before transferring to California State University, Los Angeles.
Sean graduated Summa Cum Laude, with a BA in Television, Film, and Media Studies and a minor in Science, Technology, and Medicine Studies. He also earned Special Recognition and Outstanding Thesis Award while in the Honors College.
Sean Nesler earned Scholarships from The Hollywood Foreign Press Association and The Ebell of Los Angeles, and he held membership in Phi Kappa Phi and Golden Key International.
Sean was also a Boy Scout, and earned Eagle Scout rank at 17.
